Our History


Paragon Micro is one of the fastest growing and most successful IT solution providers in the US today. With three office locations—our Lake Zurich, IL headquarters in the Chicago suburbs, as well as offices in downtown Chicago and suburban Phoenix—and having passed $100 million in sales, we have established ourselves as a significant presence in the industry. The sustained growth has made them an important authorized partner with technology leaders such as Microsoft, HP, Dell, Cisco, VMWare, EMC, Lenovo, and over 1,000 other OEMs. How did they grow so large, and so quickly?

Paragon was founded in 2006 by Tad Dahl in his home office. Growing up in an entrepreneurial family, he put $12,000 of his own money to set up the infrastructure that he’d need to run his own business. This allowed him to establish relationships with manufacturers and distributors to grow the company. In the first year Paragon Micro reached $700,000 in sales, and quickly earned back his $12,000 investment.

Paragon Micro opened its first office in 2008 and with continued thoughts of growth he reached out to a former colleague, Jeff Reimer, and asked him to join him as his partner. Jeff came aboard at the beginning of 2008, with an entrepreneurial drive as well, and his professional business knowledge. Eight additional experienced employees were hired that year and sales grew ten-fold, establishing a pattern of growth that continues today.
